PressPatron is an online membership platform for journalism. Once launched, PressPatron will allow publishers to easily accept monthly and one-time contributions from their readers.
The platform is currently under development in partnership with Touchtech (www.touchtech.co.nz).

Key research findings
Within the News Renewed survey*, 1.4% of respondents said they'd definitely make a monthly contribution to their favourite news site or blogger. The average amount was $11.00.
By comparison, only 0.24% of survey respondents said they would definitely subscribe to a news website locked behind content restrictions (at a revenue maximising price of $10 per month).
